Ms. Maryam is the owner and director of Meadow View Montessori. She holds master’s degrees in Education from both the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Stanford University and has spent her career working with students, families, and educators across different ages and stages of life. Her professional experience includes teaching, program administration, and educational research, as well as supporting students as they navigate higher education and prepare for their futures. Before becoming the owner of Meadow View Montessori, she served as Director of Policy and Research at the Resilience and Adversity in Children’s Ecology Lab at the University of Texas at Austin.

As a native Spanish speaker, Maryam also values the role that language and cultural connection play in a child’s development and sense of belonging. Working with children and adults at different stages of life has shaped how she thinks about early childhood education and the foundations children need to thrive. She understands that early experiences help shape how children learn, build relationships, navigate challenges, and see themselves as they grow. This perspective guides her approach to creating an environment that supports each child’s development and prepares them for the years ahead.

Maryam’s approach is rooted in love, care, and respect for every child. She believes play is the language of childhood and that children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore. Inspired by Montessori principles, she is committed to fostering independence, curiosity, confidence, and a genuine joy in learning.

Outside of school, Maryam is a mother of two daughters, which gives her a personal understanding of the joys, challenges, and questions that come with raising young children.

Ms. Dorothy discovered Montessori in the early 1990s as a parent, drawn to an educational approach that reflected her own values and beliefs about raising children. Her connection to Montessori eventually led her to become the owner and director of Rocklin Montessori, now Meadow View Montessori. Today, she continues to do what she loves most as a lead teacher, spending her days alongside children and supporting their growth.

With decades of experience in early childhood education, Dorothy brings a deep understanding of the Montessori approach and a genuine appreciation for the relationships that make a classroom community meaningful. She places a strong emphasis on social and emotional development, helping children learn to express themselves, understand their feelings, and navigate relationships through language, role play, and everyday interactions.

Music and movement, connection games, and playful group experiences are an important part of her classroom. Dorothy believes these moments help children build confidence, strengthen friendships, and feel a sense of belonging. She is committed to creating an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.

Dorothy holds a Montessori Primary Teaching Certificate from California State University, Hayward Extension, a Site Supervisor Permit from the State of California, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law and English from the University of the Pacific.

Ms. Maral is a caring mother and dedicated educator who brings warmth, curiosity, and passion to her work with young children. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Law in 2012, she followed her interest in Human Development, where she discovered her passion for early childhood education. She completed her studies in Early Childhood Education at Sierra College and holds a Site Supervisor Permit from the State of California, an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, and advanced training in the arts for early childhood education.

Ms. Maral is committed to creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow. She believes children learn through connection, exploration, and opportunities to develop independence. Her love of travel, cooking, and nature influences the curiosity and appreciation for discovery she brings into the classroom each day.

Ms. Tania is a dedicated educator who brings patience, kindness, and a calm presence to her work with young children. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from Sacramento State and has experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children. Her background in child development has shaped her thoughtful approach to supporting children as they learn, grow, and build independence.

In addition to her experience in early childhood education, Ms. Tania has a background as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), providing valuable health and safety knowledge to our school community. She serves as one of our health and safety resources, bringing an added layer of preparedness and care to her work with children.

As a native Spanish speaker, Ms. Tania also brings the gift of language and cultural connection to our school community, creating opportunities for children to experience Spanish naturally throughout their day.

Ms. Julia is a thoughtful and nurturing educator who brings kindness, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with young children. She joined Meadow View Montessori in June as a teaching assistant and continues to support our afternoon program as a teacher while pursuing her education at Sierra College. She has completed several courses in Early Childhood Education and is working toward her bachelor’s degree.

Before joining Meadow View, Julia worked with second, third, and fifth graders, and her experience with second graders sparked her interest in becoming a teacher. She hopes to one day teach second grade and pursue a master’s degree. Julia especially enjoys helping children develop independence through practical life activities, classroom responsibilities, and the everyday moments when they discover what they are capable of doing on their own.

Julia’s gentle nature and ability to connect with children have made her a wonderful addition to our school community. With parents from Moldova, she is also fluent in Russian, bringing another language and cultural perspective to our classrooms.
